I National Focus Group

Hungary and Slovenia

On March 14th, Prevention In Action project launched its first
National Focus Groups in Hungary and Slovenia
, marking an
important step in understanding how young people engage
with health education.

These Focus Groups aim to conduct an exploratory and
diagnostic analysis to assess the knowledge, needs, and
preferences of the target audience
— children and adolescents
aged 10 to 18 — regarding health education and the prevention
of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and sudden death.

Organised in close collaboration with national Red Cross
societies, the sessions gathered young participants, key
stakeholders, and local focal points, ensuring a diverse and
inclusive dialogue. The insights collected will directly inform the
development of tailored, evidence-based prevention
strategies
that resonate with younger generations.

This initiative is a key component of the project’s commitment
to fostering healthy habits and reducing the impact of NCDs
across Europe
.
