PIA Project Final Conference

Celebrating two years of Prevention in Action

The PIA Final Conference marked the successful conclusion of two years of joint efforts to strengthen public health and promote health literacy across communities.

Held at the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra, in Portugal, the event gathered representatives from all five consortium countries, bringing together experts, health professionals, researchers, policymakers, and volunteers for an inspiring discussion on the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory conditions, and diabetes.

Throughout the conference, partners presented key results, good practices, and the project’s lasting impact.

These included awareness and capacity-building initiatives, Basic Life Support training in schools, and activities promoting healthier lifestyles within local communities.

A warm thank you to all participants, partners, and speakers for their valuable contributions — and to the entire consortium for their outstanding commitment over this remarkable journey.

Together, we truly turned Prevention in Action!
