We announce that the 1st Kick-Off meeting of the “Prevention In Action” Project took place on December 11, 2023, marking the official start of our project, co-funded by the EU4Health Program, focused on the prevention NCDs -cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
The event was attended by representatives from the Portuguese Red Cross, Spanish Red Cross, Italian Red Cross, Slovenian Red Cross and Hungarian Red Cross, as well as a representative from European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) and DG Sante. Together, we discussed strategies, action plans and established objectives for the next months of the project.
Meeting Highlights:
Project Presentation: The Project Coordination Team presented an overview of the project, including its main objectives, methodologies and expectations.
Work Packages: The five Work Packages (WPs) were discussed in detail, each focusing on different aspects of the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
Strategic Planning: We established clear goals for the first year, with an emphasis on implementing health awareness and education activities.
Collaboration and Networking: The event provided an excellent opportunity for networking and establishing partnerships between consortium members.
The Kick-Off was an important milestone for “Prevention in Action”, demonstrating the commitment and dedication of all Partners. We are confident that, by working together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against these chronic diseases and improve the health and well-being of communities across Europe.
